The Garena Young Lions will be looking to take home their first points of the season in the Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League when they play against Warriors FC on Saturday night at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
Coming into tomorrow’s game on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Balestier Khalsa in their last match despite a performance that should have merited a draw, the Young Lions will face a difficult task against Warriors FC.
Despite the results from the past four matches being less than satisfactory, head coach V. Selvaraj has chosen to remain optimistic ahead of opposing coach Razif Onn’s side, who are undefeated in their last three matches.
“I thought my boys could have done so much better. They have seen better days in them, in training and in other games as well,” said coach Selvaraj, after the defeat to the Tigers.
“On the bright side, we are now creating more chances than our first game, and are starting to make better decisions.”
The match against Warriors FC, Singapore’s most successful S.League club with a record nine titles, will kick off at 7.30pm on 8 April 2017 at Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
